In the third period of Wednesday night's NHL game in Ottawa between the Washington Capitals and Ottawa Senators, Capitals forward Mathieu Perreault took a puck in the face, but got credit for a goal after the puck went past Senators goalie Craig Anderson into the net.
When Capitals winger Jason Chimera passed the puck inside towards the goal, the puck bounced off the stick of Senators forward Milan Michalek into Perreault's face. If Perreault has to take one for the team, at least he gets a goal out of it.
In the end, however, the Senators won the game 5-2.
