At Saturday's Giants baseball game in San Francisco, a man in the stands caught a foul ball with his bare hand while holding his daughter in his lap with his other hand.
It happened in the top of the fifth inning when Pittsburgh Pirates left fielder Alex Presley hit a foul ball down the third base side. The man was able to hold his daughter in his lap with his left hand while standing up and reaching for the ball with his right hand (and no glove), bobbling it for a second before catching it.
Great catch by the father, but most importantly, he never let go of his daughter. Because as we've seen in recent incidents like this Dodger fan and this baseball fan in Taiwan, going after a foul ball while holding onto your daughter can lead to disaster if you don't have your priorities straight.
