After the Oakland A's got a 5-4 walk-off victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night, A's outfielder Josh Reddick got dressed up as Spider-Man before giving teammate Coco Crisp two whip cream pies in the face as a reward for hitting a sacrifice fly that scored the winning run.
Crisp was also showered with orange Gatorade and cold water before getting pied.
Reddick joked that he was "part Spider-Man" after climbing the wall in Toronto to make an outfield catch against the Toronto Blue Jays about a week ago. Apparently Reddick decided to take things to the next level by getting dressed in the Spider-Man costume, which he purchased recently at a convention in Baltimore (according to Crisp).
Crisp is getting used to being "rewarded" in this fashion, as he also received a pie in the face (along with a shower of cold water and sunflower seeds) after hitting a walk-off single on July 22nd to clinch an A's victory against the New York Yankees.
