Golfer Nicholas Thompson's tee shot on the par-3 17th hold landed on the edge of the water during Saturday's third round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational tournament in Orlando. Thompson could have taken a drop, but instead he made the bold call to take off his shoes and socks, roll up his pants, and wade ankle-deep into the water to take the shot right there.
In the end, Thompson made the right decision, as he pulled off an amazing shot that landed less than a foot from the cup and allowed him to save par.
Thompson probably wonders what might have been if he had that kind of luck during the entire round, as he shot a disappointing 3-over on the day to put him at +5 overall for the tournament.
