The Nebraska football team orchestrated a special moment during Saturday's spring game which centered around 7-year-old Jack Hoffman, a brain cancer patient from Atkinson, Nebraska who is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
Hoffman was dressed in a Cornhusker uniform and came into the game on offense as a running back. When quarterback Taylor Martinez handed him the ball, Hoffman ran for a 69-yard touchdown. Both benches emptied to celebrate in the end zone.
Hoffman's parents are currently raising money for the "Team Jack Legacy Fund" to support pediatric brain cancer research. More information about Jack Hoffman's story is available at teamjack.curesearch.org.
