Ilya Bryzgalov gives up goal to Canadiens by "ducking" the shot (Video)

Philadelphia Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov gave up a goal when he "ducked" from a shot by Montreal Canadiens center David Desharnais during the second period of Wednesday night's NHL game at the Wells Fargo Center.

The shot by Desharnais deflected off the stick of Flyers forward Brayden Schenn and up towards Bryzgalov's head. As Bryzgalov ducked, the puck dropped right into the net over his head.

It certainly looked awkward to see Bryzgalov ducking out of the way of the puck, especially since he wears a mask to prevent him from getting hit in the face. However, Bryzgalov probably guessed that the puck would fly over the net and didn't account for the deflection slowing down the puck.

The goal gave the Canadiens a 3-2 lead, but the Flyers rallied in the third period for three goals to get the 5-3 victory.
