A woman was hit by a home run ball, while her boyfriend saw it coming and stepped away from it, during Tuesday night's Arizona Diamondbacks game at Chase Field.
It happened in the top of the seventh inning as St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Pete Kozma hit the home run to the stands in deep center field. The woman ducked for cover in her seat, while her boyfriend decided to protect himself and stepped away, rather than protecting his significant other.
As a result, the woman was hit on the right side of her face (or neck - it wasn't clear from the video). The woman did get checked out by stadium staffers, but fortunately did not appear to be seriously hurt. However, this incident will certainly put some strain on their relationship.
