A Toronto Blue Jays fan lost a foul ball as he was celebrating picking it up, but then later received an autographed replacement from former Blue Jay Gregg Zaun, during Friday night's game at the Rogers Centre.
It happened in the top of the seventh as Texas Rangers batter Craig Gentry hit a foul ball into the stands near right field. The unlucky Blue Jays fan picked up the ball right from underneath his seat, but as he raised it up in the air to celebrate, he lost his grip on it, sending the ball straight up in the air and up for grabs again. The fan who did track it down gave it to a little kid.
The unlucky Blue Jays fan probably felt sorry for himself, until former Blue Jay Gregg Zaun, who now serves as an analyst for Rogers SportsNet, came down and gave him an autographed baseball. So everything worked out in the end, and the fan went home happy.
