On Friday morning, former New York Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano officially left the team by agreeing on a 10-year, $240 million dollar contract with the Seattle Mariners.
Hours later, Cano was seen attending a winter baseball game in his native Dominican Republic sporting a Mariners cap and a beard.
It would appear that Cano not only preferred the money the Mariners offered, but also preferred the option to grow a beard if he chooses, which the Yankees certainly wouldn't allow.
H/T BLS.
