Actor Will Ferrell has been making numerous appearances on real news programs as Ron Burgundy, his character from the Anchorman movie series, to promote the upcoming release of Anchorman 2. As part of this promotional tour, Ferrell will be hosting Thursday's upcoming episode of ESPN SportsCenter as Burgundy alongside David Koechner, who appears under the guise of sportscaster Champ Kind.
As a teaser to Thursday's SportsCenter appearance, ESPN released a snippet of a taped interview that Ferrell conducted (as Burgundy) with Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning. One of Burgundy's hard-hitting questions concerns Manning's relationship with Broncos mascot Thunder. It looks like the full interview will be worth watching.
UPDATE: It was announced Wednesday that Ron Burgundy's on SportsCenter was being cancelled due to the 2PM announcement regarding the Jameis Winston allegations. No word yet as to whether Will Ferrell's appearance will be rescheduled.
