Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Scott Van Slyke fell victim to the "hot foot" prank during the seventh inning of Sunday's game against St. Louis.
Legendary broadcaster Vin Scully provided the commentary as the Dodgers found a way to entertain themselves while holding a 6-0 lead over the Cardinals. After attaching a roll of matches to Van Slyke's foot with a wad of gum while he stood at the top of the dugout, the suspense built as the Dodgers had a bit of trouble lighting them up.
Adrian Gonzalez finally got the fire lit, and Van Slyke picked up on the smell after a few seconds, but his initial reaction was to ask who farted. Eventually, however, Van Slyke picked up on what was going on, and the Dodgers bench laughed hysterically.
As they say, "Boys will be boys." As long as no one gets hurt, it's alright by us.
