Carmelo Anthony suffered an embarrassing mishap in the first quarter of Tuesday night's game against Portland when he stumbled backwards and fell after being rejected by the rim.
To make matters worse, the play didn't even count, as the play was dead after a foul had been called on the Trail Blazers. Anthony was apparently trying to make a statement, but it backfired.
The play perfectly sums up the hard times the Knicks have fallen into recently, having lost 12 of their last 16 games. It's not Anthony's fault, but since he's the superstar, he unfortunately gets more than his fair share of the blame.
