In an earlier post, we passed along a story about Colorado Eagles assistant coach Greg Pankewicz, who threw his tie, shirt and undershirt onto the ice to protest a lineman's behavior towards one of his players, leaving himself topless. Well, it was only a matter of time before the punishment was handed out.
The Central Hockey League (CHL) suspended Pankewicz for the rest of the season and fined him and the Colorado Eagles an undisclosed amount of money. CHL commissioner Duane Lewis said in a statement: "The Central Hockey League will not tolerate such behavior and found Mr. Pankewicz's conduct to be completely unacceptable to our member clubs, the officiating staff and our fans."
I would certainly agree with that. As funny as it was to watch the video, it doesn't set a good example for anyone.
