Sometimes people don't realize that they have done something incredibly dumb until it's too late. At that point, all they can hope for is that the embarrassing moment has not been captured on live TV or a cell phone video, because once it gets posted on the Internet, it's there forever.
Unfortunately, a female Milwaukee Brewers fan named Robin had to learn the hard way. She brought a sign to Friday night's home game against the Houston Astros which said "Marry Me, Ryan". Normally, this would be completely harmless, except she made an extra effort to get some attention by adding one small detail on the top of the sign: her cell phone number.
After her sign appeared on television, courtesy of FOX Sports Wisconsin coverage of the Brewers game, you can imagine her shock and dismay as her phone began ringing off the hook, with over 200 calls and 600 text messages (which I would imagine may have exceeded her monthly limit). She also took part in a live interview with field reporter Telly Hughes, who found a nice way to phrase the questions revolving around the topic that all the viewers at home must have been wondering about: What was she thinking?
The ironic part of the story: After finding about the sign after the game, Ryan Braun called Robyn's cell, but couldn't leave a message because her voice mailbox was full!

"It seemed like a good idea at the time" she said in the ensuing interview. We'll see what she thinks after she has to pay to get her cell phone number changed...and gets her next bill with the overage charges for all those text messages.
