Kansas City Royals home games are becoming dangerous to their fans. First, a fan suffers a detached retina after getting hit in the face with a hot dog thrown by the Royals mascot. Now, a 4-year-old girl ends up in the hospital with a skull fracture after getting hit in the face with a foul ball during Friday night's game.
I know the ticket stubs say that the Royals are not responsible for injuries to the fans at Kauffman Stadium during games, but this is becoming a disturbing trend. They may want to think about a new promotion: how about making every home game Helmet Day?
