On Sunday night, Game 1 of the NHL Western Conference finals took place in Vancouver with the hometown Canucks hosting the San Jose Sharks. That could only mean one thing: the Green Men were back in the house.
Last night's antics included a new celebrity target: CBC commentator Don Cherry. Why? Apparently Cherry didn't care for the Green Men mocking Mike Fisher's wife, country superstar Carrie Underwood, saying it was too much of a personal attack. (A cardboard cutout of Underwood in a Canucks jersey is too personal? Really? Don needs to lighten up.). In response, the Green Men held a cutout of Don Cherry in a green spandex suit, while they themselves wore crazy blazers similar to what Cherry wears on the air.
