Ever wonder what happens to one of those fans who runs onto the field during a baseball game? Well, we have a little insight now that one of these fans is sharing his story after apparently becoming a Youtube sensation.
If you look on Youtube for "Drunk Guy Ran Onto Field During Red Sox Game And Gets Drilled", you'll find this video, taken from a cell phone during Monday night's game against the Angels.
Brandon Kalantzis, a 26-year-old from Manchester, N.H. who claims he "only had a few beers", made his way onto the field during the top of the 9th inning. Within seconds, a security guard made a beeline for him and tackled him to the ground. The security guard may want to consider trying out as a replacement player for the New England Patriots if the NFL plays this season.

"They made it clear to me that I am not welcome back at Fenway Park," Kalantzis told the News of his brief conversation with Fenway security as he was escorted out of the building en-route to an area jail, where he remained until he was bailed out at 5:30 a.m. the following day.
Kalantzis was advised not to talk about the charges he could be facing, but according to Boston's Fox 25 the Red Sox make it a policy to press charges anyone who runs on the field during a game. A spokesperson for the Boston Police Department told the [NY Daily] News that the people who run on the field at the 99-year-old ballpark are normally charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
"I don't want people to take it the wrong way - I'm not a jerk," the moving company employee said. "I'm a huge New England fan. I have a Patriots tattoo on my leg. I just wanted to be on the field with the players, obviously there was a better way to go about it."So the lesson for the kids at home: please don't run out onto the field during sporting events. But if you think getting arrested for disorderly conduct and having a humiliating video of yourself posted on the Internet for everyone to see is cool, then by all means, be my guest.
