This year's Tour de France is getting out of hand. I can't remember hearing about so many crazy incidents revolving around the race in years past (well, aside from the alleged doping, anyway).
In an earlier stage, we had a television technician's car knock two racers off the road. Today riders didn't have to contend with crazy drivers - just spectators in crazy costumes.
First, there was "Bikini Man". Some guy dressed in a bikini who apparently is Australian, or at least a big supporter of the Australian riders in the Tour de France. Fortunately he meant no harm to the riders, and he appeared to be OK after security yanked him out of the road.
Next, we have another man, apparently a doctor, or (more likely) someone pretending to be a doctor, running alongside 2010 Tour de France champion Alberto Contador. Once Contador sees him, he gives the "fan" a nice little jab in the face. Contador did not get into any trouble for the punch.
Can't wait to see what's coming next.
