A small group of fans dressed as Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra attended the Oakland A's baseball game last night and got a little time on camera.
Since the visiting Texas Rangers had a 9-1 lead over the A's in the top of the eighth inning, the television announcers needed something to talk about, so they gave some air time to these guys. This appeared to be more than just a one-time gag for these men, as their looks do resemble the original "Rat Pack" and their speaking voices were similar to Sinatri, Martin and Davis Jr. as well.
Nothing wrong with having a little fun at the park. I'm not sure what the connection is between Oakland A's baseball and the "Rat Pack", but these fans are behaving themselves and no one is getting hurt, so whatever floats their boat.
