A scary moment occurred in a CFL football game this past weekend where a defensive back collided with a goalpost.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Canadian Football League, their goalposts are still positioned in the middle of their end zones, much like the NFL's goalposts were back in the 1970s. BC Lions defensive back Korey Banks was covering a Saskatchewan receiver on a deep pass down the middle of the field when the collision occurred. Fortunately, Banks was OK after the play (and it's also fortunate that the end zones in the CFL are wider so player collisions with the goalposts are very rare).
Give Korey Banks credit: despite BC having a 42-5 lead with just over a minute left in the game, Banks was still giving his maximum effort...and he did manage to break up what would have been a touchdown pass on this play.
