During the top of the fourth inning of last night's Game 2 of the World Series, as Texas Rangers runner Ian Kinsler was on third base, he was hit in the shoulder by a foul ball from Rangers batter Adrian Beltre.
It was fortunate that the ball was not a line drive, as it bounced just outside of home plate. Kinsler was paying just enough attention to see the ball coming and duck to avoid possibly being hit in the head. Although Kinsler was wearing a batting helmet, that still would have hurt.
Beltre struck out swinging to end the inning.
