Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre hit three home runs today as the Rangers beat the Tampa Bay Rays 4-3 to advance to the American League Championship Series. However, a funny moment was caught on camera as Beltre was rounding third base during his first home run trot, as a cameraman following Beltre down the basepath tripped over his own feet and fell to the ground.
It happened in the top of the second inning of today's ALDS Game 4 between the Rangers and the Rays. It would appear that the cameraman (identified by commentators as Tim Burke) tripped over his own feet, causing him to fall to the ground. It would appear that Burke broke the camera as pieces of the camera went flying as he hit the ground.
Talk about a bad day at the office...and this poor cameraman's bad day was caught on video. Plus, he'll probably have to pay for that camera.
UPDATE: After a closer look at the video, the camera might not be broken. It was Burke's headphones that fell off and a VHS tape that popped out of the camera. A VHS tape? They still make those?
