There was a minor delay in the bottom of the sixth inning during yesterday's Game 3 of the NLDS in St. Louis between the Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals as a squirrel ran onto the field.
Cardinals second baseman Ryan Theriot was at the plate when his at-bat was interrupted by the squirrel running across the field.
Theriot did hit a single during his at-bat, but the Cardinals did not score during the inning.
UPDATE: It happened again! This time (during Game 4) the squirrel ran right in front of home plate!
