Ottawa Senators forward Chris Neil took a stick to the midsection from Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin as the players were skating after the puck during the second period of last night's NHL game in Ottawa.
Neil had to leave the ice to get looked at by Senators training staff. However, to add insult to injury, Neil was given a 2-minute unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for "diving".
We'll see if the NHL will review the tape on this one. Certainly Neil didn't deserve a penalty here.
