The Miami Heat defeated the Dallas Mavericks 105-94 during NBA action on Christmas day, but at one point in the third quarter the Heat led the Mavericks by over 30 points. That certainly quieted the crowd in Dallas, except for one fan dressed as Santa Claus who used the opportunity to heckle LeBron James while he was on the foul line.
During the third quarter, the fan dressed as Santa (who happened to be drinking - big surprise) could clearly be heard in the video shouting "What do you want from Santa? A ring?" tAfter LeBron made the free throw, he fan then tried to challenge LeBron to a fight, saying "You want some of this?" Naturally at that point, LeBron was paying no attention as the game resumed on the court.
ABC commentators Mike Breen and Jeff Van Gundy had some fun with it. Van Gundy said "That's a bitter Santa right there. He's not bringing good cheer."
Breen's reply: "He's bringing cheer, but it's not good."
Hopefully "Santa" had a chance to sober up on the way home.
