Washington Redskins receiver Jabar Gaffney caught a touchdown pass from quarterback Rex Grossman in the second quarter of yesterday's game against the New England Patriots in front of the hometown fans at FedEx Field. Gaffney decided to celebrate by leaping in the stands, assuming that the fans in the front row would catch him. You know what happens when you assume.
Gaffney leaped and fell backwards into the stands to the point where all you could see were his head and feet. As DC Sports Blog points out, Gaffney's gaffe was making his leap in a spot in the stands where Patriots fans were sitting in the front row. Next time Gaffney should look for some real Redskins fans.
Nobody caught Jabar Gaffney when he dove into stands [Shutdown Corner]
