Winnipeg Jets defenseman Dustin Byfuglien scored a goal 34 seconds into last night's game at home against the Carolina Hurricanes. Byfuglien had the puck behind the goal line and banked his shot off the back of Hurricanes goalie Cam Ward's leg into the net for the goal.
This gave the Jets the early momentum and helped carry them to a 4-2 victory over the Hurricanes.
