Mike Milbury had an embarrassing gaffe during Monday's NBC's 2012 Winter Classic coverage when he goofed on the New York Rangers nickname.
The Rangers are commonly referred to as the Broadway Blueshirts, but Milbury managed to leave out the 'r' in Blueshirts. That letter is pretty critical in the scheme of things, as Milbury effectively called the Rangers blue poop.
Milbury immediately corrected himself, but that's the beauty of live television. These kinds of goofs don't get past the viewers, even though they do seem to get past the NBC censors. Either NBC needs to incorporate a 7-second delay, or they need to fire somebody for being asleep.
