Was Texans' Two Point Conversion Attempt Worst Ever? (Video)

In Houston, the Texans may have made the worst failed two-point conversion attempt ever in today's game against the Tennessee Titans.

After scoring a touchdown with 14 seconds left to cut the Titans lead to 23-22, the Texans decided to go for the win by attempting a two-point conversion instead of going for the tie.  However, to say things did not go smoothly during their conversion attempt would be an understatement.

First, Texans tight end Joel Driessen moved before the snap, so the false start penalty moved the ball back from the 2-yard line to the 7-yard line. Then, to top it off, the shotgun snap from the center was snapped over quarterback Jake Delhomme's head. The Titans recovered the ball at about the 27-yard line before the whistle blew the play dead.

Going for the win was a gutsy call by Texans head coach Gary Kubiak. However, considering the fact that the Texans were down to their fourth-string quarterback, maybe he should have saved it for another day. Fortunately they are still going to the playoffs, so maybe he wanted to give his players a rest.
