Jan Mursak Played A Shift With An Opponent's Stick Stuck to His Jersey Like a Tail (Video)

Detroit Red Wings forward Jan Mursak had a bit of an embarrassing moment Tuesday night when an opponent's hockey stick got caught in the back of his jersey without him knowing it. Mursak skated almost a full minute of a shift dragging the stick behind him on the ice like a tail until he finally figured it out, and he needed the help of a linesman to remove the stick from his jersey.

It happened during the second period of Tuesday night's NHL game in Calgary as the Red Wings visited the Flames. Flames forward Blair Jones lost his stick in Mursak's jersey when he tried to hook him. The announcers got a kick out of Mursak skating around while carrying the extra stick as a tail. Mursak didn't get a chance to touch the puck before play was stopped, so there was no controversy stirred up by the play. Just a few good laughs.
