Madonna slipped and almost fell down during her Super Bowl XLVI halftime performance in Indianapolis on Sunday.
It happened as Madonna sang (or lip-synched?) her second song of the set, "Music". Madonna climbed to the top row of a set of bleachers that were part of the stage, and as she tried to step on the top "bench" with her high heels, she had to take a step backwards off the bench and nearly fell while trying to regain her balance. To her credit, Madonna was back "into the groove" within a couple of seconds and continued on with her performance.
Unfortunately, the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show will be overshadowed by controversy created when M.I.A. gave the middle finger to the camera during the performance of Madonna's new single "Give Me All Your Luvin'". It's unfortunate that someone has to pull a stunt like that to draw attention to themselves, but it did take the attention away from Madonna's little slip.
