Mississippi State running back Vick Ballard managed to make himself stand out with his 40-yard dash attempt at the NFL combine, but probably not in the way he had hoped.
Ballard stumbled a few steps after the start, then lost his balance and fell to the ground, knocking over some equipment at the 10-yard mark on the side of the race lane.
Ballard did get another attempt to run the 40 and registered a time of 4.63 seconds. Unfortunately, the lasting impression that NFL scouts (and viewers) will probably leave with is Ballard's trip and fall. Hopefully Ballard will be able to overcome this embarrassment and have a decent career, but this video will be out there forever.
