In Saturday night NBA action, the New York Knicks executed a nice double alley-oop in the fourth quarter after a steal by J.R. Smith. Smith made the initial alley-oop pass to teammate Iman Shumpert, who could made the easy layup, but instead tossed the ball back up to Smith to finish the play with a one-handed dunk.
Of course, this could be construed as the Knicks rubbing it in a bit, as they already had a 20 point lead over the visiting Detroit Pistons with less than 3 minutes left in the game. But hey, the Knicks are playing at home, and the fans are paying a lot of money for the tickets, so why not give them a show and give them their money's worth?
This is the second double alley-oop from the NBA in as many weeks, as the New Jersey Nets pulled off a really nice one last week between Deron Williams, Gerald Green and Kris Humphries.
