In the fourth quarter of Sunday's NBA game in Los Angeles between the Lakers and the visiting Miami Heat, LeBron James appeared to twist his ankle after stepping on the foot of a woman in a front row.
It happened with just over a minute left in the game when LeBron tried to steal a pass to Laker forward Pau Gasol but couldn't get control of the ball. LeBron's momentum carried him out of bounds, where he stepped on the right foot of an older woman in the front row wearing sandals. James went down in pain, but the play on the court continued as Gasol passed the ball to Kobe Bryant, who made the basket before a time out was called by Heat coach Erik Spolestra.
LeBron led the Heat with 25 points and 13 rebounds in the 93-83 loss to the Lakers. No word yet as to the seriousness of LeBron's injury.
