Mississippi Valley State head coach Sean Woods accidentally punched a referee in the second half of Tuesday's "First Four" NCAA tournament game against Western Kentucky. Woods went a little overboard with channeling his excitement as his team was able to build a 16 point lead.
The referee appeared to be OK. Unfortunately for Woods, however, Mississippi Valley State could not maintain the lead and ended up losing to Western Kentucky 59-58. Maybe this will teach Woods not to celebrate too early next time.
