In Saturday night MLS action, Portland Timbers head coach John Spencer was being interviewed during the second half of their game against FC Dallas when he had to pause to let out a scream of excitement as his team scored a goal.
Ironically, the interview team happened to be asking Spencer about what Darlington Nagbe provided the team as a halftime substitution in place of Jorge Perlaza. As if on cue, Nagbe scored the goal for the Timbers, prompting Spencer's reply "That's what he provides! That one there!"
Talk about good timing. Live television can be a beautiful thing.
