In Tuesday spring training MLB action, Colorado Rockies right fielder Tyler Colvin was unable to catch an easy fly ball when his glove got caught in his jersey, allowing two runs to score on the play.
It happened in the bottom of the fifth inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks with runners on second and third. Diamondbacks infielder Ryan Roberts hit the ball to right field, and Colvin made a good break on the ball to get himself in position to catch it. However, when it came time to make the catch, Colvin couldn't put up his glove, resulting in an error that allowed two runs to score and allowed Roberts to make it all the way to second base.
Hopefully Colvin learned his lesson and will button his jersey a little tighter next time. That is what spring training is about, after all.
