Oakland Athletics first baseman Daric Barton lost his bat on a swing and accidentally hit a cameraman during Wednesday's game in Oakland against the Kansas City Royals.
It happened in the bottom of the seventh inning as Barton swung at a 1-0 pitch and accidentally let go of his bat, which went flying to the right side of home plate. Fortunately for the still photographer who was hit, the bat hit some netting, which absorbed most of the momentum, before lightly bouncing off of his back.
The photographer was OK, but a scary moment nonetheless.
