Texas Rangers left fielder David Murphy had a bit of an embarrassing moment Saturday when he took a tumble while making a throw back into the field.
It happened in the bottom of the fifth inning with Minnesota Twins catcher Joe Mauer up at the plate with one out and a runner on third base. Mauer hit a fly ball to short left field. Murphy caught the ball and threw it right away, but slipped as he threw the ball, which took a bounce before reaching the cutoff man.
However, the Twins runner did not make it home, so Murphy did his job, even though he may not have looked good doing it.
