Boston Bruins defenseman Dennis Seidenberg delivered a huge hit on Washington Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin during last night's NHL first round playoff game in Boston, but Seidenberg himself may have taken the worst of it.
It happened in the second period when Seidenberg came across the center line and found himself in perfect position to deliver the hit on Ovechkin coming up the wing. It was a huge collision, and Ovechkin was knocked off balance and, after a few steps, fell to his knees before getting back up. However, Seidenberg was knocked onto his back from the force of the hit.
Now this is what NHL playoff hockey is all about.
