In Thursday night NBA action, New York Knicks guard Landry Fields accidentally took out referee Bill Kennedy during the fourth quarter of their game against the Orlando Magic. After being fouled by Dwight Howard while attempting a layup, Fields' momentum carried him into Kennedy, knocking him down hard.
Kennedy stayed down for a few minutes (long enough for television networks to take a commercial break), but eventually got up and was OK to continue. The Knicks defeated the Magic 96-80.
