Memphis Grizzlies guard O.J. Mayo was caught running down the court the wrong way after a jump ball during Saturday's NBA game at home against the Dallas Mavericks.
It happened in the third quarter on a jump ball in the Mavericks end of the court. Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph won the tip, and teammate Quincy Poindexter gained possession of the ball. However, O.J. Mayo appeared to be leading a fast break towards his own basket until he realized his mistake a second or two later.
This is reminiscent of a play a couple of months ago when JaVale McGee ran down the court to play defense without realizing that his teammate got the offensive rebound.
