In a recent pro soccer match from Japan, Yokohama F. Marinos defender Naoaki Aoyama tripped and fell while running backwards in the middle of the field trying to slow Sapporo striker Hideo Oshima. As a result, Oshima was given a free path to the net where he shot one past the goalkeeper to score the first goal of the match.
Sapporo won the match 2-1, and Aoyama will probably never use that defensive technique ever again.
H/T Dirty Tackle.
