A young Kansas City Royals fan threw a foul ball back onto the field at Kaufmann Stadium, apparently not understanding the concept of keeping the baseball as a souvenir.
It happend in the top of the seventh inning when Toronto Blue Jays designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion hit a foul ball into the stands on the third base side, about ten rows back. A man got the foul ball and gave it to his young son, but instead of holding on to it, the boy decided to throw the ball back onto the field, to the shock and dismay of all the nearby fans.
The ball boy in right field picked up the ball and gave it to a woman in the front row who would actually keep the baseball.
