British chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay was injured Sunday during a charity soccer match after being taken out by retired English soccer player Teddy Sheringham.
While Ramsay was down on the ground in pain, Sheringham gave Ramsay a gentle pat on the face. Ramsay had to be taken off the field on a stretcher.
It happened during the second half of Sunday's Soccer Aid friendly match between England against the Rest of the World, with both teams comprised of various celebrities and retired soccer stars and proceeds from the match to benefit UNICEF. Ramsay played for the Rest of the World team along with celebrities Will Ferrell, Gerard Butler, Mike Myers, Ed Norton and Woody Harrelson.
England won the match 3-1.
