Kansas City Royals catcher Humberto Quintero lost his footing and fell to the ground during his at-bat in the fourth inning of Wednesday night's against the New York Yankees.
Quintero's right foot slipped and he fell down in the batter's box just as he hit a foul ball. The bottom of Quintero's cleats were covered with mud, which may have been a factor in the fall.
Quintero struck out to end the inning, leaving the bases loaded.
