In MLS action Saturday, Columbus Crew forward Justin Meram attemped a shot on goal with a bicycle kick, but accidentally kicked FC Dallas defender Hernan Pertuz in the throat as he knocked the ball away with his head.
Meram was given a yellow card, but did score a goal later in the half to help Columbus defeat FC Dallas 2-1.
