Cleveland Indians first baseman Carlos Santana (no relation to the legendary rock guitarist) accidentally tackled a fan in the front row while leaping into the stands chasing a foul popup during Thursday's game against the Cincinnati Reds.
It happened in the top of the fifth inning on a foul popup by Reds third baseman Todd Frazier. A large fan in the front row was also trying to catch the ball, but Santana dove into the stands chasing after the ball and took the fan down with what would have been considered a good tackle on a football field.
Neither one of them caught the ball.
