A New York Mets fan ran onto the field Friday night during the team's postgame celebration as pitcher Johan Santana recorded the first no-hitter in Mets franchise history.

After Santana struck out St. Louis Cardinals batter David Freese to record the final out, Santana was mobbed by his Mets teammates to celebrate the accomplishment. The rogue fan, wearing a Gary Carter jersey, made his way onto the field and into the middle of the circle of players near the pitcher's mound. The fan's brush with his favorite team was brief, however, as he was pulled away and tackled on the ground by two Citi Field security guards before being taken off the field.
