Milwaukee Brewers center fielder Carlos Gomez hit a deep fly ball and rounded the bases during his leadoff at-bat in Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Just one problem: the ball that Gomez hit curved foul, and Gomez didn't realize that it wasn't a home run until after rounding third base.
Now there's something you don't see every day.
To top off his embarrassing moment, after getting a sarcastic cheer from the Philadelphia crowd, Gomez was caught looking at a called third strike on the very next pitch.
